Do this before Saturday, October 31. It takes about 15 minutes. Then Saturday starts with building, not installing.
Setup call · Thursday, October 29
We are holding 5 to 8 PM on Google Meet. We will confirm the exact hour by email. Join from the computer you will use on Saturday and we set it up together, or use one of the two paths below.
What you need
A paid Claude plan, Pro or higher.
Admin access to your computer, so you can install apps.
Gmail. Microsoft 365 works only through a company account your admin has approved. Personal Outlook and Hotmail addresses cannot connect yet.
Google Chrome, for Day 2.
Claude through work (a Team or Enterprise plan)? Ask your admin to turn on Gmail and Claude in Chrome for you first.
Path A: run the setup file
About 10 minutes. It installs the Claude app and Python (plus Git on Windows), makes your Documents/AI-Workshop folder, turns on three safety rules, and tests everything.
In Claude, click Code at the top of the sidebar. Click the environment selector, pick the first option under Local, then Open folder… and choose AI-Workshop. Then type:
Check that Python is installed and tell me the version.
Click Allow when Claude asks to run it. It should answer with a version number that starts with 3.
Bring these on Saturday
One real task you do every week that eats your time. Write it in one sentence, with how many hours it takes.
At least 15 sent emails in your Gmail that sound like you. Claude learns your voice from them.
Stuck?
Code says to upgrade? Your plan is not a paid plan yet.
A "403" error? Sign out of Claude and sign back in.
Still stuck? Join the setup call and we fix it with you.
Day 1 · Saturday, October 31 · 9 AM to 1 PM · In person

Truth 02
AI needs your data and systems.
Claude is only as useful as what it can see. Your email, your files, your offer, your voice.
Your dataemail, files, numbers

→
AI that works for youdrafts, decides, acts
The vocabulary
Three words you'll hear all day.
Workflow
The steps to get something done.
Lead comes in → look them up → draft reply → log it
Automation
A workflow that runs without you starting each step.
Form submitted → create record → send welcome email
Agent
AI that makes decisions inside the workflow.
Read email → judge urgency → draft, route, or file
The best setups use all three.
Safety first
Your data. Three rules.
Know where it goes
Your plan decides how your data is handled. Check your privacy settings once.
Match the tool to the data
Brainstorms can go anywhere. Client records and money stay in your paid account.
You are the approver
Claude drafts and proposes. It asks before it sends. You press send.
Governance is the seatbelt that lets you drive fast.
Stay in control
Trust, then verify.
✓Ask for sources. "Show me where this came from."

2.5 hours×50 weeks=125 hours a year
An example. Use your own numbers. On Day 2 we measure the after.
Hands-on
Now you build one.
Open Claude on your laptop. Keep this page open next to it.
Step 1
Open your folder in Code.
1Open Claude. Click Code at the top of the sidebar.
2Click the environment selector under the message box. Pick the first option under Local.
3Click Open folder… and choose Documents › AI-Workshop.
4Check the mode selector reads Manual, so Claude asks before it changes anything.
If Claude asks whether to trust the folder, say yes. No AI-Workshop folder yet? Make one in Documents now. Windows: if Claude says "Git is required," install Git for Windows.
Step 2
Connect your Gmail.
1In Claude, open Customize › Connectors.
2Find Gmail. Click Connect. Sign in to Google and approve.
3Back in Code, click + and open Connectors. Make sure Gmail is there.
4Ask Code: "Can you see my Gmail? List the subjects of my last 3 sent emails."
Microsoft 365 works only through a company account your admin has approved. Personal Outlook and Hotmail cannot connect yet.
Step 3 · Type this in Code
Build your Lead Follow-Up skill.
Prompt
Create a reusable skill for me. Save it in this folder as .claude/skills/lead-follow-up/SKILL.md, with a name and a one-line description at the top.
The skill: when I give it a lead's name, email, business, what they asked about, and any past contact, it writes a short follow-up in my voice and saves it as a draft in my Gmail.
Read my last 15 sent emails in Gmail and match my greeting, tone, sentence length, and sign-off.
Rules: open with something specific to them. Get to the point fast. End with one clear next step. Never send. Drafts only.
Ask me any questions you need, then save the skill. When you are done, tell me how to use it.
Click Allow once so it can read your sent emails, and accept the new file when Claude shows it. Then type / in the message box. You should see lead-follow-up. Not there? Type /reload-skills, then / again.
Step 4
Test it in your Drafts.
Prompt
Use my lead-follow-up skill for this lead: [Name], [email], [business]. They asked about [what they wanted].
Save it as a draft in my Gmail with a clear subject line. Do not send it.
Replace everything in [brackets] before you press Enter. Click Allow once for reading Gmail and saving the draft. If Claude asks to send, click Deny. Then open Gmail › Drafts. It is there, in your voice.
Break
15
minutes. Stretch, refill, come back ready to build.
Your business, in one file
Give Claude your business.
A file called CLAUDE.md in your folder. Claude reads it every time you work there.
Prompt
Create a file in this folder called CLAUDE.md. It tells you about my business every time we work here.
Who I serve: [your ideal client in one line]
What I offer: [your main services]
My voice: [three words, for example warm, direct, practical]
When you write for me, stay inside these facts. If something is not in this file, ask me instead of guessing.
Replace everything in [brackets] before you press Enter. Accept the new file when Claude shows it.

Step 5 · Type this in Code
A skill that writes like you.
Prompt
Create a reusable skill for me. Save it in this folder as .claude/skills/email-in-my-voice/SKILL.md, with a name and a one-line description at the top.
The skill: when I give it an email I received, it writes a reply in my voice and saves it as a draft in my Gmail.
Learn my voice from my last 15 sent emails. Open with something specific to the person. Keep sentences short. Propose one clear next step when the email needs one. Never write "I hope this email finds you well" or "circling back."
End every reply with this signature:
[Your Name]
[Your Business]
[Phone] · [Website or booking link]
Never send. Drafts only.
Replace everything in [brackets] before you press Enter, especially your signature. Then check it with / (or /reload-skills).
Step 6
Schedule your morning drafts.
1In Code, open Scheduled in the sidebar (or under More), then New task. It may say Routines.
2Under Advanced settings, turn on Only on this computer. Pick your AI-Workshop folder.
3Set it to weekdays at 7:00 AM. Paste in the prompt.
4Click Run now once. When it asks to search, read, or draft in Gmail, choose Always allow. If it asks to send, reply, or forward, click Deny.
Prompt
Be my morning email assistant. Use my connected Gmail and my email-in-my-voice skill.
1. Find emails from the last 3 days from real people, sent to me, that I have not replied to. Skip newsletters, promotions, receipts, and no-reply senders. Skip any email that already has a draft reply in my Drafts. If you are not sure, include it.
2. For each one, write a reply with my email-in-my-voice skill and save it as a draft in Gmail. Never send.
3. End with one line: how many drafts you wrote.
It runs only while Claude is open and your computer is awake. Turn on Keep computer awake in Settings › Desktop app. If it was asleep at 7, it runs once when it wakes.
Stretch goal
Your morning dashboard.
Prompt
Build me a page called dashboard.html in this folder, using my Gmail.
Show every email from the last 5 days, from a real person, that I have not replied to. Skip newsletters, promotions, receipts, and no-reply senders.
Group them by day, newest first. For each one show the sender, the subject, one line on what they want, and a status: Draft ready, Needs draft, or Replied.
At the top, show how many still need a reply. When you finish, show me the file so I can click it and open it.
When I say "refresh my dashboard," rebuild it with the latest. Add one line to CLAUDE.md that explains how to refresh it. Never send anything.
Click the file name Claude shows you to open it. Say "refresh my dashboard" any morning for the latest.
Live
Watch it run.
Look for our emails in your inbox.
1In Code, open Scheduled, find your morning drafts, click Run now.
2Open Gmail › Drafts. Your drafts include replies to our emails, in your voice.
3Stretch: "Refresh my dashboard."

What changed
Let's kill the myths.
The myth
The reality today
"AI just makes stuff up."
Give it sources and your data. It works from facts.
"AI is fancy autocomplete."
It reads, decides, and acts across your tools.
"It will leak my data."
You control your settings and use a paid, governed account.
"You have to be technical."
You describe the outcome in plain English.
"Prompting is a dark art."
Clarity beats clever tricks.
If something you know about AI is from 2024, assume it changed.
The big mindset shift
Describe the result, not the steps.
The old way
"First do this, then do that, then format it like..."
You micromanage every step.
The new way
"Here's what done looks like. Make it match."
You set the destination. Claude finds the route.
Tell it what success looks like: a number, a format, a finished example.
The fastest shortcut
Show, don't tell.
AI is a world-class mimic. Paste one example of what good looks like.

Next
Claude steps onto the web.
Into your browser. Onto your website.
Why this matters
43%
of Google searches now show an AI answer first. A year earlier it was 15%.
If an AI can't read your website, it can't recommend you.

2Search Claude by Anthropic. Click Add to Chrome.
3Click the puzzle piece and pin Claude.
4Open it and sign in with your paid Claude account.
Open your homepage in Chrome. Open the Claude panel. Paste this.
Prompt
You are looking at my business website. Grade this page two ways: as a first-time customer, and as an AI search engine deciding whether to recommend me.
Score it 1 to 10 on:
1. Clarity: is it instantly clear what I do and who I help?
2. Trust: what builds or breaks confidence?
3. Action: is the next step obvious?
4. AI readability: could an AI describe my business accurately and recommend me from this page?
Give me a short scorecard, the top 3 things working, and the top 5 fixes, most important first.
No website? Grade your Google Business Profile or a competitor's site. Keep the scorecard open. We use it next.

Prompt
Build me a modern one-page website for my business as clean HTML and CSS, saved in this folder.
Use the real content from my current website and the grade we just did:
[paste your site's text or the scorecard here]
Include a strong hero with a clear headline and one call to action, a services section, an about and trust section, room for reviews, and a contact section with my booking link.
Make it look current, with smooth scrolling and gentle animation, and make it work well on phones.
Use only facts I give you. Do not invent reviews, numbers, or claims. When you finish, show me index.html so I can click it and open it.
Replace the [brackets] with your site text or the scorecard. No site yet? Delete that line; Claude already has your business facts from CLAUDE.md. Click Allow once as it works, then click index.html to see your new site.
